Camp Odyssey @ WDS

Camp Odyssey @ WDS is for Rising K to 8th graders.

Rising K: Setting Sail
Rising First Grade: One Fish
Rising Second Grade: Two Fish
Rising Third Grade: Red Fish
Rising Fourth Grade: Blue Fish
Rising Fifth Grade: Marlins
Rising Sixth Grade: Dolphins
Rising Seventh & Eighth Grade: Sharks

Some examples of activities are: Wacky Science, Art, Challenge Accepted, Theatre, Jack of All Trades (Team Building Challenges), Sports/Dance, and Playground

Also: Crazy Time- Campers have a choice in the multiple games offered and Special Activity/Festival- Afternoon time on the back playground (weather permitted). Campers have a range of activities to choose from, that go along with that day’s theme.

Swimming at ELKs: Every Wednesday

10 to 11:30 am for rising kindergarten to rising 2nd grade

12 - 1:30 pm for rising 3rd grade to rising 8th grade

Setting Sail (K) and One Fish (1st Grade) will not take the swim test at the pool. They will swim in age-appropriate areas.

Campers in other groups may take the swim test if they want to swim in the deep end
- Campers need to come to camp with bathing suits on with a cover-up, flip-flops are optional
- Pack sunscreen with name written on it
- Pack a towel, closed-toe shoes, a change of clothes, and underwear

Campers will change when they return to camp

There are studios (activities) that go outside on the field or playground.
We do have 30 minutes of playground time and part of the playground is in the shade.

We go to the pool every week.

We do not sell lunches to campers at WDS; they will need to pack their own. Please pack an icepack if needed. Also have the necessary utensils.

Drop-off starts at 8:30 am unless you are signed up for Extended Care 7:30-5:30. If you arrive before this time please stay in your vehicle until a staff member comes to greet you at the car. Dismissal is between 3:25 pm-3:45 pm. Campers must also be picked up no later than 3:45 pm unless you are signed up for Extended Care 7:30-5:30.

Dismissal Procedure:
Please stay in your car, we will call your camper, have you sign them out, and put them in your car for you. If a Camp Odyssey camper has a younger sibling at WDS Day Care, you may park but please check your camper out at the Camp Odyssey (first set of double doors)

Dropoff Parents will pull up to the first set of double doors, we will have staff out front who will help unload your camper from the car. Parents are not permitted into the building due to WDS Policy. Dismissal begins at 3:25 -3:45 for regular day campers. You can stay in your car and pull in line and we will come to you with a clipboard to sign out your camper and we will call them to come out to your car.

3:45-5:25 Please come to the first set of double doors where a staff member will meet you and call your child for dismissal.
