Camp Odyssey @ WDS

Camp Odyssey @ WDS is for Rising K to 8th graders.

Rising K: Setting Sail
Rising First Grade: One Fish
Rising Second Grade: Two Fish
Rising Third Grade: Red Fish
Rising Fourth Grade: Blue Fish
Rising Fifth Grade: Marlins
Rising Sixth Grade: Dolphins
Rising Seventh & Eighth Grade: Sharks

Some examples of activities are: Wacky Science, Art, Challenge Accepted, Theatre, Jack of All Trades (Team Building Challenges), Sports/Dance, and Playground

Also: Crazy Time- Campers have a choice in the multiple games offered and Special Activity/Festival- Afternoon time on the back playground (weather permitted). Campers have a range of activities to choose from, that go along with that day’s theme.

Pool day is every Tuesday at the Elks from 10am to noon

The whole camp will be at the Elks during this time, if you want to drop off your child during the 10 to 12 time-frame please check them in at the Elks with a counselor or wait to bring them at 12:15 to WDS

Setting Sail and One Fish (Rising Kindergarten and 1st Grade) will not take the swim test at the pool. They will swim in age appropriate areas.

Campers in other groups may take the swim test if they want to swim in the deep end

Campers need to come to camp with bathing suits on with a cover up, flip flops are optional.

Pack sunscreen with name written on it

Pack a towel, closed toe shoes, change of clothes and underwear

Campers will change when they return to camp

There are studios (activities) that go outside on the field or playground.
We do have 30 minutes of playground time and part of the playground is in the shade.

We go to the pool every week.

We do not sell lunches to campers at WDS; they will need to pack their own. Please pack an icepack if needed. Also have the necessary utensils.

Regular Camp drop-off:
- 8:30-8:55 am is our regular drop off.
- Parents/guardians will pull up to the front entrance of WDS
- Designated staff members will greet campers and walk them to their group rooms.
- First Time Campers- Parents/Guardians can park their vehicle and walk into the front entrance to meet staff and directors.

Extended Care Drop-Off:
- 7:30 to 8:30 am is our morning early drop off. 
- Staff members will greet campers at the front entrance. They will then walk campers to their group rooms to put away belongings.
- Campers will then be walked to the back playground and play until 8:30 am.

Midday Pick-Up/Drop-Off (9AM to 3:15)

Drop-Off
Please walk to the Camp Odyssey Office to meet with a Camp Staff Member
- We will escort them to their group rooms and to their assigned studio

Pick-Up
- Check in to the Camp Odyssey Office

Full Day Dismissal
- From 3:30 - 4:00pm Parents/guardians will drive up to the front of WDS in a single line
- A camp staff member will greet you and have you sign your child out while still in the vehicle

Extended Care Dismissal
- Walk to the Camp Odyssey Office
- Sign out your camper and staff will escort your child out to you
