Poplar Hill Mansion is the perfect place for your elegant and intimate occasions. Rental includes the entire first floor of the house, kitchen facilities, back yard and gardens. Flatware, plates, and glasses are also included in the rental prices (please note, serving pieces are NOT available, all events are responsible for brining their own serving pieces such as paltters, bowls, chafing dishes, etc.). The Mansion has a limited amount of linens for the tables inside the house; there is an additional charge for table linens.  PHM has modern conveniences such as central air conditioning and heating, modern ADA bathroom, a newly remodeled kitchen* (with sink, double oven, French door refrigerator, and commercial dishwasher), a sound system, and WI-FI. There is also a lift on the rear entrance for those with mobility issues.

The Fire Marshall stipulates that no more than 97 people may be in the Mansion at any given time. Realistically, the Mansion seats about 72 people comfortably, divided among the three major rooms on the first floor. Most larger events/parties use the outdoor space, which accommodates approximately 120 people and use the interior of the Mansion as a transitional space for a cocktail hour, candy bar, buffet line, or other use.

The difference in prices reflected below, are the time you are allotted. For all parties and a wedding ceremony you get 6 hours of rental time total; for a wedding reception there is more flexibility and you are allotted more time on the day of the reception for set-up starting as early as 8:00 am; for a full wedding, you not only have the all the time on the day of the wedding, but you also get time the day before for rehearsal and set-up.

We always recommend that if you are interested in pursuing PHM as a venue that we set up a time for you to come in and tour the facilities to be sure that they will meet your needs and we can meet in person to review any questions. *The Wicomico County Health Department has designated our kitchen as a Special Events Kitchen; this means that our kitchen is only to be used for reheating food, storing already prepared food, and plating food. All food MUST be cooked off site and may not be made in the kitchen at PHM as per the Health Dept.
