ST. PATRICK’S DAY TEA 
March 16th at 11:30. Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Poplar Hill Mansion at our Celtic Tea. The menu will feature Cream of Potato Soup, Corned Beef and Cabbage Tea Sandwiches, Cucumber Salad Sandwiches, Irish Meat Pasties, Homemade Matcha-Currant Tea Scones with clotted cream and jam, Lime Shortbread Cookies, Irish Apple Cake, St. Paddy’s Day Bark, and Irish Breakfast Tea. Bring a friend to this fun event! Cost is $25.00 per person and all in attendance will be entered for a chance to win a gift card to the Irish Penny. RSVP early as seats are very limited.

POPLAR HILL MANSION FESTIVAL: CELEBRATING OVER 200 YEARS OF HISTORY 
May 7th from 12:00-4:00. Come to the award-winning Annual Poplar Hill Mansion Festival as we celebrate the Federal Period history of Salisbury! The day long festival will include War of 1812 re-enactors: Chesapeake Independent Blues, period music, educational displays from local nonprofits and historical societies, a children’s activity tent with crafts and games, and a May Pole to celebrate May Day. There will also be a tented Market Square with vendors selling handcrafted items. It’s sure to be a fun filled day! Tours of Poplar Hill Mansion will also be available throughout the day and volunteers will be wearing period dress. This is a FREE event with parking located in the Bethesda Methodist Church parking lot on the corner of Division St. and Isabella St. in the Newtown Neighborhood. Festival Program 2022

PREAKNESS STAKES TEA 
May 18th at 11:30. Come to Poplar Hill Mansion for a special tea as we celebrate the second leg of the Triple Crown, Maryland’s own Preakness Stakes. Don your best Horse Racing Hat and join us for some Maryland food favorites which will include Cream of Crab Soup, Chicken Salad Cups, Ham on Sweet Potato Biscuits, Cucumber Sandwiches, Black Eyed Susan Scones (Honey Almond), Almost Smith Island Mini Cupcakes, White Potato Pie, and Old Bay Caramel Fudge, all while sipping hot tea. There will be a special prize for best hat. The cost of the tea is $25.00 per person. RSVP is required and seating is very limited.

TEA BY THE SEA
September 21st at 11:30. Come enjoy the last day of summer at our Tea By the Sea. Featuring a nautical theme, we want to transport you and your friends to the relaxing sounds of waves upon the shore and the sights of sailboats in the distance. The seafood heavy menu will feature Cream of Crab Soup, Assorted Tea Sandwiches, Homemade Cheddar Bay Scones, Assorted Desserts, and of course, Tea. Bring a friend to this fun event! Cost is $25.00 per person. RSVP early as seats are very limited.

HALLOWEEN PARTY
October 27th at 7:00. Come to one of our most popular events of the year! Spend Halloween weekend in a real haunted house for a fun filled party at Poplar Hill Mansion! Wear costumes, see the house fully decorated in creepy elegance, and take part in some of our activities throughout the night, including dancing (the Halloween Limbo), games, and storytelling from Andy Nunez, paranormal expert extraordinaire and author of the Ghosts of the Eastern Shore series. Prize for Best Costume. Suggested donation of $5.00 per person at the door. No RSVP required. Adult audience only for ages +18 and over.

JACK O’ LANTERN JUBILEE
October 28th at 12:00-3:00. Bring the kids to Poplar Hill Mansion for a new event to have fun this Halloween! Join us for our Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee! See the Mansion fully decorated for Halloween! We will have kid’s games with prizes, paint your own pumpkin, kid’s costume parade with prizes for best costumes, and some other fun surprises. This is a free event. Children must be accompanied by an adult and recommended for children between the ages of 3-10, but all are welcome. Hot dog meals will be available for $3.00 and include a hot dog, bag of chips, and can of soda or bottle of water.

Edgar Allen Poe: Master of Terror
October 28th at 7:00. The Community Players will present Edgar Allan Poe: Master of Terror, a show featuring memorized, word-for-word telling of The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, and The Black Cat, as well as a special presentation of W.W. Jacobs’ story, The Monkey’s Paw. The show is Rated PG-13. Tickets are $10 per person, cash or check. Reservations are strongly encouraged, since space is limited to 50 people. YULETIDE OPEN HOUSE
December 3rd from 12:00-4:00. Come to Poplar Hill Mansion and get in the holiday spirit. See the beautiful floral decorations by the Four Seasons Garden Club. Visit the second floor to see Christmas trees with over 1500 ornaments and more. There will be silent auction items to help raise funds for the Friends of PHM. Home for the Holiday Tea Boxes with Gourmet Tea Pyramid, Scones and Cookies will be available for purchase for $10.00. Admission is free and includes a small cookie bag for each guest.

TEA WITH SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS
December 16th from 1:00-4:00. Why go wait in line at the mall to see Santa, when he will be at Poplar Hill Mansion! Bring your children or grandchildren to have peppermint tea, punch, and assorted sweets and have a visit and picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Photos mailed to your home address. See the house fully decorated for the Holiday Season. Cost: $5.00 per mailing address.
